Toronto Home + Gift Market January 2024: The Recap

Posted by Anita Petersen on 9th Feb 2024

Last week, the team was in Toronto at the Home + Gift Market . Style In Form was there, amidst the creative buzz, showcasing our latest wholesale furniture collections and connecting with the heart of Canada's retail and design communities. As the dust settles and we reflect on the whirlwind of activities, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, engaged with us, and placed orders. It was a pleasure to see you all face-to-face, sharing stories and insights that go beyond the ordinary.

The opportunity to learn more about your business and understand your unique needs was invaluable. Your feedback is the cornerstone that helps us evolve, ensuring we continue to meet your expectations and design furniture collections that resonate with your visions. The interactions we had were not just transactions but a vital part of our journey towards becoming better and more in tune with our customers’ needs.

Join us as we recap the standout moments, from our top-selling Natura Collection to the trends that are setting the tone for the year ahead in furniture design.

What everyone was loving at the show.

The Natura Collection , a Style In Form top seller, with its emphasis on organic beauty and live edge finishes, spoke directly to those seeking to add a touch of the outdoors and natural elements in their spaces. Ever expanding, we were thrilled to introduce two new Natura pieces this season with Reza and Anise and we’re excited to bring you more new introductions very soon.

Customers were also loving our Nova Stumps to add an element of rustic charm, showcasing how small pieces can make a big impact.

Our Fiel Ottomans were a favorite for their versatility and chic styling, proving that functional pieces can also be incredibly stylish. The Forest Coffee Ottoman was noticed for its flexibility and sleek functionality. This stunning collection, which combines an ottoman, bench, and coffee table, is all about gorgeous design meeting the needs of Canadian consumers. Exciting news: Forest will soon be available in our Stone Performance Fabric with a black waterfall table!

The Ferris Chair and Everest Chair, with their impeccable design and comfort, caught the eye of customers who want to provide stylish trend-right accent chairs for their customers. While the Faith Sectional stood out as a beacon of modern comfort and style, promising to be the centerpiece of any room it graces. PLUS the C0 rated performance fabric on Faith was a hit, especially since cream can be a fabric consumers are leery of. And the Evita Chair, with its elegant curved lines and inviting design, was a must-have for those looking to add a statement piece to their collections.

Customers were seeking black finishes. Our Hara End Tables and Irving Sideboards in black stood out for their modern sophistication and just the right touch of drama while the indoor/outdoor California West Chair + Ottoman, captured the imagination with its low profile seating and black poly-resin woven wicker.

The trends everyone was loving.

The trends that captured everyone’s attention this year were unmistakable. The lean towards neutral fabrics , creams, and browns and tans, alongside the dramatic pop of black finishes, reflected a desire for designs that combine timeless elegance with bold statements.

We’ve all heard that browns are trending. We are on board and loving it. Our new Camel-colored poly velvet fabric was turning heads with its warm inviting take on brown. We were thrilled to bring this fresh color to our Finn and Ferris chairs as well as the Fiel Ottoman. For a lighter journey into trending brown upholstery, we’ve introduced a new tan fabric and it looks amazing on our Evita and Eli Chairs.

Natural wood and transitional styles also stood out, illustrating a preference for pieces that offer versatility and seamlessly blend into various interior themes.

Curves continue to reign supreme . The Evita and Everest chairs, with their elegantly curvaceous silhouettes, exemplify this enduring appeal. For bedrooms, our Faye Bed is always a top pick. These pieces not only add a touch of sophistication but also embrace the comfort and fluidity that curved lines bring to any space.
